March Health Update {My Weight Loss Journey with Cyclebar}

Six weeks into 2018 {on Feb. 11th} I shared with y’all that I was down 10 pounds and today I’m excited to share that I am down another 6 LBs. We are 11 weeks into the new year and 4 weeks since my last post update. Since beginning my weight loss journey in August 2017 I’ve lost a total of 37 LBS with 16 of those LBS being in the last 11 weeks. It’s definitely been a very slowww journey to say the least, but to be honest, it’s probably been the easiest trial of trying to lose weight that I’ve ever attempted. I’m not consumed by it, it’s not controlling my daily life, and I’m not being hard on myself by putting unnecessary pressure to hit a certain number on the scale by a specific date. by Not putting an expiration deadline on my health is what I truly believe has been the biggest factor as to why this hasn’t been such a treacherous experience for me.

Leawood Cyclebar’s 1st Birthday Bash + Health Update

I’m excited to share a little update on my 2018 good health and weight loss journey with y’all on this Monday morning. We are 6 weeks into the new year and I am happy to say that I am down 10 lbs since my first post which i shared with you all 5 weeks ago. I have continued to eat well and eat smaller portions, though I still indulge & honestly probably a little more than someone who is trying to lose weight really should. Along with that I’ve been going to Cyclebar in Leawood three to four days a week. Don’t get me wrong, 10 lbs down in 6 weeks is great and I’m so happy with those results as I know it very well could have been much less. These next 6 weeks though I really want to give a little more effort by really reallywatching my sugar and carb intake and start going to Cyclebar four to six times a week. Cyclebar in Leawood is celebrating their one year anniversary this month and they are doing something so fun and completely free to non members. this birthday bash event is coming at such the right time for me and it will definitely make it easy for me to bump up my weekly class attendance.

My 2018 Health & Fitness Goals + Cyclebar

nike cropped sweatshirt // VS slate KNOCKOUT LEGGINGS {ON SALE} // NIKE ROSHE SNEAKERS {on sale} // APPLE WATCH

Ever since I turned 20 I have really always struggled or yo-yoed with my weight. I would start a certain diet  and work out regimen and lose a little weight with it but in the long run I would get burnt out fast and nothing ever stuck. in the spring of 2013 I lost 30 ish pounds and was happy with my weight only to gain it all back that winter. I pretty much struggled with emotional eating and weight gain until getting engaged in June of 2015. In prep for the wedding I then lost a good 40 ish pounds from that august to the following May in 2016 when we got married and went on our honeymoon. After returning from our honeymoon I completely gained all of that weight plus more back and felt like I kept gaining little by little each month as we made our way into 2017. This past August (2017) at my highest weight ever I decided enough was enough and that I was determined to lose the weight, for real this time.  Honestly and more importantly I really just want to be healthy. I’m in my mid 20’s and should be at my prime, and I’m determined to get there this year. i think now that i’m wanting to lose weight for the right reasons and not for an event deadline it should go a lot easier with less pressure. whether it takes me another 6 months or all of 2018 to lose it, i know it will be worth the hard work to feel my best.

Holiday Gift Guide Part Three: Health & Fitness Gifts

only fourteen days until it’s a new year and resolutions set in and your local gyms and studios become packed full of new clients. whether your new to the work out scene or have lived this lifestyle for a long time now just remember to be kind to everyone no matter how annoyed you may get that they took your fav stair stepper machine. I myself recently just re joined (I went this summer) cycle bar, an indoor cycle studio here in Kansas City though they have studios all over the unite states. i really love going to Cyclebar, it has such a fab energy with amazing music and instructors. While yes, it is a group class and you can choose to have your stats up on the board along with everyone else’s my favorite part is that they always reiterate that you are here for you and competing against your best self. anyways, i’ll share more on cyclebar in the next few weeks but for now i wanted to share some great last-minute gift ideas for the health & fitness gal in your life.
