Blush Holiday Dresses

Can you believe there is only 20 days until Christmas!? So crazy. I know they say the older you get the faster and crazier the years go & they weren’t kidding. Like everyone I’m sure, these next few weeks are jam packed full of events for us and a few of them I get to get all dolled up for in cocktail attire for which is always fun to have an excuse to do. Today I’m sharing two holiday party dresses perfect for any  Christmas & NYE events you have coming up.

Faux Fur Jacket & Dainty Layering Necklaces

It’s crazy to think that two years ago I don’t think I owned one dainty necklace and now that’s pretty much all my collection consists of. Don’t worry, I haven’t let go of all my fashion statement pieces but for now they mostly stay tucked away and are typically only pulled out for parties and events. Faux fur has allllwaaayys been in my DNA, I think I owned my first one by age 5 and I’ve never looked back. I’m obsessed with them all: faux fur, sherpa, fancy or casual.

Closet Room Update {Pax Wardrobe}

One positive thing about this flood remodel is it has given me the push to finally just do the things I’ve always wanted to do when it comes to organization and decorating. Being forced to clean out and get rid of all the junk I was hoarding was something I needed.  I ended up repainting my closet room ‘white dogwood’ by Sherwin Williams and convince Erick that I needed the Pax wardrobe system from IKEA.  With this new wardrobe I was able to eliminate the gold bookcase/shelves you’ll see in my ‘before’ pics below and all of the walnut wood stained shoe shelves I had too. I’m actually going to cut the long shoe shelves I had in half and paint them white and they will go on the wall where the gold clothing rack is now. Whatever shoes don’t fit I will just keep in the closet.

Master Bedroom Escape + New Fav Spa Products

I’m so excited to reveal a little corner of our master bedroom with y’all today. Our master has been a lonnnggg work in progress. For whatever reason it’s just been one of those rooms that I put at the bottom of my priority list which in retrospect makes zero sense. being that it’s the room you start and  your day in, therefore making it one of the most important room’s in your home. I will eventually share the other two walls with y’all once complete but for now this will have to do ;).

As you may have seen on my Instagram, I went to The Elm’s Hotel and Spa over the weekend with my mom and bestie. We spent the day getting pampered with an hour massage, a facial, mani/pedi, and spent time in their signature grotto. The grotto is what The Elm’s is known for and it did not disappoint. Keep your scroll to read more on the three products I could not leave that place without!

Bows on Bows

I used to feel like bows in general were way to girly, dainty, and maybe even a little too childish to add to my wardrobe. However, I’m finding that I actually really love incorporating pieces with a simple or even a fun statement bow into my wardrobe for a feminine touch. I wanted to share some of my favorites with y’all when it comes to incorporating bows into your closet + share all the details on this simple yet feminine knit sweater with neck bow tie detail.

Our Family Christmas Cards + Outfit Details

I love Christmas cards. I love receiving them from friends and family, I love creating them to send out, and I love going back and looking at past cards throughout the years. This is only the second year I’ve sent out cards from our little family as Erick and I are on our second year of marriage. The idea of keeping this tradition going every year and to be able to look back at each card as we get older and our family eventually grows with more fur babies and even human babies one day makes my heart happy.

{2017} Home Holiday Decor

I promise i’m not crazy y’all, I just really really love Christmas. Scratch that, I really really love the entire holiday season. From October 1st through January 1st each year I soak up all the holiday cheer I can get. My fall and Halloween decor usually go up before October 1st and my Christmas decor is in the works the first week of November. For everyone out there saying, “what’s the rush!? Can’t you just enjoy each holiday before moving on and celebrating the next.” To you folks I  say, i’m not rushing anything – quite the opposite actually.

For me, this season goes by so very quickly and with each passing year it seems to just go even faster than the year before. The holiday season is truly my favorite time of the year and so with that I want to enjoy it  for as long as I possibly can. From the festive decor to the tree lines and falling leaves on the ground with their beautiful changing colors. Pumpkin spice latte’s, cozy knits, boot and booties, bonfires, and cider everything. To the first snow fall, pretty Christmas lights, cozy throw blankets, holiday movies, and festive gatherings with friends and family. Basically the holiday season, for me, is the season of nostalgia and comfort. Rule of life people: if something makes you happy and doesn’t hurt anyone else in the process (like putting up holiday decorations for instance 😉 )how dare we feel the need to apologize for it.
