Elle Mae Blog Turns 2!! {Blogiversary Giveaway}

In the words of Jonathan Van Ness ‘Can you believe!?’

It’s so crazy to think that it’s been two full years since I decided to hit publish on my very first blog post (on the 4th of July of all days, haha) and start what has become a treasured creative outlet for me to share my current favorites in fashion, beauty, home and really all of life’s things with you guys. Whether you’ve been following along since day one or just getting started, I am forever grateful for your support. My growing (slowly but surely) success with Elle Mae wouldn’t be possible without you guys and it means more to me then I could ever put into words, truly.

Palm Leaf Southern Charm OOTD Inspo

So, I’m a big bravo channel fan, always have been and always will be. it’s not even a guilty pleasure, there is no guilt from this girl, ha! i can tell you anything you want to know about any of the real housewives franchises, Jeff Lewis’s flipping out, shah’s of sunset, below deck, and the show that inspired this look, southern charm. i have been watching southern charm since it first aired in 2014 and i just love following the cast’s lives and watching them grow up {even though they’re in they’re mostly in their 30’s & 40’s} in their cute and charming town of Charleston, South Carolina. I find Charleston to be so dreamy with it’s pastel colored historical buildings and gorgeous landscapes. It’s definitely on my list for a vacation spot in the near future. Are any of you big Southern Charm or bravo fan’s? I’m slightly obsessed and also can I just say, so thankful for social media so that I can insta stalk Cam {she’s my fav} even during the off season. She’s seriously so hilarious, real, and relatable . If you aren’t following her on insta, go do it now!

Anyways, the new season of Southern Charm just started last month and watching the cast in this cute coastal town has inspired my spring/summer look I’m sharing with y’all today.

Athleisure Goals

img_8323Happy Monday Lovlies!

Like every girl (I like to think) Monday’s are a day for fresh starts and setting goals, you can’t start something new unless it’s a Monday, it’s just the rule of life ;).¬†I usually like to blame everything on Mondays and use it as an excuse to ¬†delay my goals one more day, but not this week. Before our May wedding this year I got myself into a very healthy fitness¬†and healthy ¬†eating routine and lifestyle but just as easily as this became a routine – I fell right out of it.¬†After the wedding I told myself I deserved to take a little break for 2 weeks or so and just enjoy myself and whatever I wanted to eat, then I’d get back into my healthy routine. Well, those 2 weeks turned into 5 months later and here I am sitting here typing this post. For about 2 months now I’ve told myself I’m going to “get back into it”. Every Sunday night has been spent setting the alarm for 5AM only to wake up and hit snooze for 2 more hours. Well enough is enough and I’m ready to make a change – for real this time. My hope in sharing this is that it will hold me accountable to actually take the time out of everyday and become healthy again for myself. I’m a firm believer in “If you look good you feel good and if you feel good you do good” and well, I haven’t been feeling so good lately.

Nash Trip {Day Two: Resting Brunch Face}

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Day two in Nashville was greeted with a modern day time travel to the classy establishment of Pinewood Social. Modern hipster vibe meets ¬†70’s diner is how I would best describe this fabulous hang out suitable for morning, afternoon, or night. We had the best time sipping on Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas while planning out day two in Nashville before heading to see THE Queen herself,¬†Beyonce, later that night.

Nash Trip {Day One: Franklin, TN}

While researching things to do in Nashville I kept coming across reviews for the charming little town of Franklin, TN. Franklin is about a 30 minute drive south of Nashville and completely worth the short trip. The characteristics of the town are so sweet and made me want to move there right away. Every house big and small had character and charm. The town square and main street area were full of ¬†adorable shops and restaurants. We spent the afternoon exploring the city market where we had the best pumpkin sugared donuts from Ellie’s Donut’s Food Truck and checking out local antique, clothing boutiques, and gift shops downtown. We had our first Tennessee meal at 55th South, where I had the most delicious chicken and waffles paired with a moscow¬†mule. I thought my Champagne Amuse Society tank was pretty fitting to get this girls weekend started, you can find it here . I paired the tank up with¬†this classic Copper Key chambray button¬†down from Dillard’s, this button down is so soft and not to mention very versatile. I always travel with my Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote, the name says it all as it’s truly perfect for traveling.

Wedding Wednesday: What I gave my Bridesmaids

As we near the end of wedding season (it went so fast!) I wanted to share what I gave each of my bridesmaids on our wedding day. These four girls are so dear to my heart and mean the world to me. From the bridal shower to the bachlorette party and then of course the big day, these girls were right by my side the whole way. I wanted to do something special to let them know just how much they mean to me and how lucky I was to have them with me on such a big day in my life.

From a necklace and earrings to wear on the wedding day to a robe for getting ready, this is what I gave¬†to each of my bridesmaids…
