Holiday Living Room Decor

Tis’ the season y’all!! I was so very excited to get most of my holiday decor up over the weekend. With the house flood in September which left us with a gutted interior I was only able to decorate my front porch for fall so needless to say I was very much itching to pull out all our Christmas decor. Our kitchen is still not complete so I mainly focused on the living room. I still want to add some touches of fresh garland (I used my faux garland or now) along the mantle, doorways, and make wreaths for the windows. I just realized this post also serves as a living room remodel reveal too since I haven’t posted on it yet since we’ve gotten everything updated. The walls are still very bare because I’m waiting to hang anything until we get our new sectional (should be this week) which I am SO EXCITED about! I’ll have to do another post maybe after the holidays when the Christmas decor gets put up and the space is in its normal state. ANYWAYS, let’s get on to the holiday decor shall we!

The Best of After Christmas Sales

Good Morning lovelies, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend with time well spent relaxing with your loved ones. I don’t know about you but I’m chugging water, green juice, and making sure I’m taking my vitamins today as I 100% committed to a full on three-day Netflix binge watching/snack session, haha.  I started and finished season 1 and all that has aired so far of season 2 of the show Riverdale, anyone watch it? It’s Pretty Little Liars meets Gossip Girl meets National Treasure in my opinion. Super cheesy/corny and right when you tell yourself ‘OK this is too much, I’m going to quit watching’ they suck you back in and you find yourself gasping out loud and dying to know the full story. The very first episode is what got me hooked so at least give it a try  and if you can’t make it past the first episode, well, you probably shouldn’t continue watching.

ANYWAYS, there are so many auh-mazing after Christmas sales happening that I wanted to share which sales I’ll be shopping and some of my favorites from a couple places. Get those gift cards and Christmas cash out and ready to use!

{2017} Home Holiday Decor

I promise i’m not crazy y’all, I just really really love Christmas. Scratch that, I really really love the entire holiday season. From October 1st through January 1st each year I soak up all the holiday cheer I can get. My fall and Halloween decor usually go up before October 1st and my Christmas decor is in the works the first week of November. For everyone out there saying, “what’s the rush!? Can’t you just enjoy each holiday before moving on and celebrating the next.” To you folks I  say, i’m not rushing anything – quite the opposite actually.

For me, this season goes by so very quickly and with each passing year it seems to just go even faster than the year before. The holiday season is truly my favorite time of the year and so with that I want to enjoy it  for as long as I possibly can. From the festive decor to the tree lines and falling leaves on the ground with their beautiful changing colors. Pumpkin spice latte’s, cozy knits, boot and booties, bonfires, and cider everything. To the first snow fall, pretty Christmas lights, cozy throw blankets, holiday movies, and festive gatherings with friends and family. Basically the holiday season, for me, is the season of nostalgia and comfort. Rule of life people: if something makes you happy and doesn’t hurt anyone else in the process (like putting up holiday decorations for instance 😉 )how dare we feel the need to apologize for it.
