Going through my 30,980 photos on my phone *gasp* trying to free up storage space & came across these pics from a 2018 blog post. I’m currently the complete opposite of this girl, rotating between the same 5 pairs of leggings & oversized shirts. I blame covid, being pregnant & now the struggle/desire to dress my postpartum bod. However, I think this was just the inspiration I needed to see to actually buy some *real* clothes for fall. Stay tuned 😅

Lots if firsts this past weekend for Palmer girl &

Lots if firsts this past weekend for Palmer girl & our little family. First mini road trip (4 hours), first time to the lake + pool, first chill 5 min boat ride to dinner before mom’s 🙋🏼‍♀️😅anxiety kicked in & we didn’t do that again. We truly had so much fun with our friends - the long weekend of adult interaction + change of scenery was much needed. We were having so much fun I didn’t stop to hop into many photos (note to all moms to GET IN the pictures) or get a photo of the three if us. But here’s a photo dump of P & her best bud, Tag. I’m so lucky to get to raise babies with my bff @ash.dent.gouv 👯‍♀️👶🏼👶🏻

I turned 30 & celebrated my first mothers day over

I turned 30 & celebrated my first mothers day over the weekend. These past 10 weeks of becoming a mother have been the most magical yet exhausting days. I might be in bed at 8pm every night & have a never ending to do list that I thought could easily be tackled between nap times (ha!) but nevertheless I’m so happy & thankful to be your mama, sweet Palmer girl. The best surprise I’ve ever received & didn’t know I needed 💕⠀

Happy mother’s day to my amazing mom, Susan. My best friend, biggest supporter & best grandma to P. Becoming a mother has really opened my eyes to just how special mom’s are. She’s the definition of strong, independent & unconditional love and I’m so lucky to call her mine. ⠀

& as always, feeling FURever #blessed 😆 to be Brantley, Brinkley & Mabel’s mama first. They’re the loves of my life & the best siblings to Palmer. Right by our side for every feeding, diaper change & tummy time sesh. 🐕‍🦺🐩🐕‍🦺⠀

I’ve always loved celebrating mother’s day. My birthday is May 7th so every once in awhile I get to share the day with my mom. This year on my first mother’s day with Palmer the two holidays happen to fall on the same weekend & I can’t wait to celebrate. I’ve rounded up some fabulous items, including so many pretty initial & customizable jewelry pieces, that would all make for the perfect gift for any mom - both new and seasoned. Basically what we’ve been up to for the last 2 weeks even when it isn’t raining or a Sunday. I really cannot believe it’s been two whole weeks since bringing home our sweet girl. If we’re not doing this we’re nursing, pumping, trying everything to build that milk supply. Doing laundry, washing pump parts, changing diapers, trying to remember to hydrate & eat myself (a problem I’ve never had in my life & can’t believe I’m even saying that). Reminding myself to take it easy for my own recovery (I pulled a back muscle moving a plant 🪴last week that still hurts today 🤦🏼‍♀️), picking out finishes for the new house + trying to respond to all the emails, texts & dm’s. This whole mommin’ thing is no joke! Like I’m sure most every new mom says, having a baby of my own has given me a whole new level of respect for moms. All the cheesy mom sayings I used to roll my eyes at suddenly make all the sense in the world 🥺💕who am I?! lol. ⠀

Anyways, I promise I’ll be back to my regular style + home content & consistently on stories again soon - but for now, we rest & cuddle & stare & all the things.
