FROZEN C is a dynamic new therapy utilizing medical grade cryogen to effectively treat active acne, rosacea and improve the overall quality of the skin. The device safely delivers concentrated, controlled medical grade cryogen at -78°C to encourage the body’s instinctual responses to extreme cold, which produce medically therapeutic benefits, comfortably. I was lucky enough to get to try this new innovative facial offered at AesthetiCare and I’m excited to share my thoughts on how the facial felt during, how my skin felt immediately after and then a few days after.
// About the Frozen C Facial //
Frozen C safely delivers concentrated, controlled medical grade cryogen at -78°C to encourage the body’s instinctual responses to extreme cold, which produce medically therapeutic benefits, comfortably. In addition to its stand-alone benefits, FROZEN C enhances the efficacy, safety, & comfort of most other procedures. The extreme cold of FROZEN C neutralizes inflammation which reduces downtime, side effects, & pain. This would have been the perfect add on to the Halo Laser I did last January with AesthiCare – true game changer. It calms the treatment area, kills bacteria, & closes exposed pores to seal in the benefits of other treatments making it an ideal complement to microneedling, injections, lasers, Hydrafacial and other aesthetic treatments. There is little to no discomfort and no downtime.
// My Experience //
I was warned this machine would get REALLY cold and could cause very minor discomfort, similar to a brain freeze, however this didn’t happen for me at all. I think maybe because I know what real pain feels like (hello Halo laser) this Frozen C facial was a piece of cake! The thing I did think felt a little weird was that when the device gets closer to your nose you will need to open your mouth to breath because it almost briefly takes away ability to breath through your nose. Don’t be turned off though, this literally only last seconds an it kind of reminds me of when you have that suction tool in your mouth at the dentist – kind of. Let me repeat – this does. not. hurt. at. all. My skin was a little pink after but not red and honestly I’m probably the only one who noticed that, every one else said my skin was glowing. I really noticed the glow the following day and especially the second day after receiving the facial. This would make for a great facial a couple days before an event.
