Brinkley doodle might look a little grumpy here but don’t worry, that’s just his RBF { he gets it from me 😉 }. He’s actually so very excited because the first of the two biggest sales of the summer starts this week!! I’m talking about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale which opens to card holders this Thursday 7/12 and Amazon Prime day which is next Monday 7/16.

Let’s start with the quick need to know basics of the Nordstrom Anny sale shall we. this sale happens every july and features tons of new product in every category and all at a discounted price point but only for a limited time. after August 5th, all items  will go up in retail to their regular price for good.

• A huge majority of anniversary sale items are exclusive to Nordstrom and can’t be found at other retailers.
• These items include everything from everyday basics, trend pieces, beauty, designer handbags, home decor, mens, children and everything else in between and all mark downed 20-40% off during the duration of the sale.
• You can preview the sale catalog here (not everything that will be in the sale is featured).

Important dates to know

• The sale opens to Nordstrom Card holders on July 12th, and they are given a week to exclusively shop the sale. It then opens to the public on July 20th and ends on August 5th.

i know it seems crazy to even think about fall product when it’s 100 degree’s outside but it’s so worth it to take advantage of these amazing deals. I love this sale for finding and investing in key staple pieces for fall like sweaters and booties. I also love love love to take advantage of the beauty and skincare sales and i will also splurge on a big item like a handbag if one speaks to me.

I personally think the best way to shop the sale is online and my best advice is to shop it early.  Once the sale goes live on July 12th you will be able to view EVERYTHING included in the sale here. Online will have more inventory in sizes along with no lines, you can’t beat that. A lot of items will sell out on the first day and that’s why I say it’s best to shop the sale early. If you want something, don’t wait! Buy multiple sizes if you’re unsure on sizing and return what doesn’t fit to insure you get what you want.

okay, moving on to amazon prime day. i equally love this sale, and honestly maybe a bit more since it’s just one day and not as overwhelming or drawn out.

• Amazon Prime Day is one day only which is next Monday, July 16th.
• You must have an Amazon Prime account in order to participate in Prime Day. It’s toatally worth the $99 annual fee not only for this one day of sales but for all year long  2 days, 1 day, and even same day shipping on some Amazon Prime products.

The best way to shop the sale is by taking the time this week to create your own  watch list’s of all your favorite products. Once you’ve done that, turn on your Amazon notification under settings which will allow you to receive an alert when an item on your watch list goes live as part of Amazon Prime day.
