I got to celebrate a fabulous friend and her baby boy on the way over the weekend and it was such a lovely day. A couple months ago she requested my help with the shower decor and I was so honored and excited. I love planning a party and I don’t really have a reason to have one of my own right now I was all about it. I actually helped Rheon with her wedding decor as well, just last may, so it was so very special to be a part of her first baby’s shower celebration just one short year later.

These super cute & customizeable ‘Mommy Milestone’ wine labels were part of my gift to Rheon, I ordered from here.

Isn’t she gorgeous!? You can find her super cute & comfy maternity dress here.

Another part of my gift to Rheon was this monogrammed wood sign. It made for great shower decor + she can use it as decor in his nursery. I ordered from this shop here.

Our friend Kyla does auh-mazing calligraphy work & can ship to you anywhere in the US. Gold Frames are from here.
Classy, gorgeous, and chic are the words I would use to describe the ambiance of Rheon & Baby M’s shower. We knew we didn’t want a ‘theme’ per-say and for it to just be a gorgeous setting to celebrate this exciting time.
So The original plan was to have these 40″ ‘OH BOY’ gold balloons for the backdrop but there always has to be some kind of disaster the day of an event right!? well when I arrived to pick up the balloons Saturday morning they informed me that they popped two of the letters and that they only had rose gold (which tinted very pink) or an awful metallic royal blue color for me to choose from in the same 40″ letter size. yep, those were my options. after slight panic and doing everything to hold in my anger I decided to run across town to a Hobby Lobby where I knew they had the same gold color 40″ balloons. unfortunately i arrived to find they did not have the letters I needed, of course. I ended up just buying the rose gold shade of balloons from the store and told myself it’d be fine and I can at least edit the photos for it to look the same shade. after stuffing all the balloons in my car and being delayed about 40 minutes I arrive to the venue to find that after all of that they forgot to give me my letter ‘Y’. In ALL OF the craziness of running around I forgot to even check to make sure they gave me all the correct letters. I was fuming as you can imagine.
In the moment of setting up there was no time to be mad and throw a fit so I put my J-lo wedding planner hat on (love that movie) and tried to think of a quick solution, mind you there were no Party City’s or Hobby Lobby’s nearby the venue. I had remembered I bought this silver “boy” air inflatable balloon banner from the Target dollar SPOT aisle months ago and OMG I’m so glad I did. It wasn’t exactly what I or Rheon had envisioned but I have to say it turned out pretty adorable considering the circumstances. i THREW SOME GREENERY IN THERE AND VIOLA.
