Holiday Gift Guide Series Part 2: Gifts for the Hostess

I truly enjoy gift giving and seeing the excitement on others faces when they open up a little gift they weren’t expecting, such as a hostess gift. The idea of arriving to a party with a little something for the hostess with the mostest seems unnecessary to most and while I agree it’s not necessary at all, it’s a simple thought and gesture that’s goes a long. It will truly leave a person remembering your graciousness when you came to their home which I think is great. With that being said I wanted to share my favorite hostess gift ideas with y’all as the holiday party’s an get together’s are well under way. All of these hostess gifts would definitely work for all year around too.

{quality candles}

 candles are a common choice for a hostess gift but the one way people go wrong here is not giving quality candles. While tj maxx/homegoods may have good prices on aesthetically pleasing candles and with scents that smell nice while shopping the isle, the quality is low and the scent doesn’t last. if giving a candle I suggest spending the extra $10-$20 on a high quality made brand where the scent will fill the room every time it’s lit and last for months.

1.  volcano by blue capri. it’s MY ALL TIME FAVORITE! it’s the candles you always smell the minute you walk by or go into an anthropologie – they’re auh-mazing and worth the $30.

2.  diptyque candle i just bought my first one recently and I am already thinking of buying a second one for my desk at work. they are a french company known for their fragrance which makes complete sense since the scent seriously fills your entire home with it’s aroma.

3. Voluspa candles are known for their long lasting burn time and aroma.

{Tyler Glamorous Wash Detergent}

this glamorous wash by tyler brand is well worth the pretty penny. it is the best smelling detergent i’ve ever smelled and leaves your load of laundry smelling truly auh-mazing for weeks. since it is so expensive i only use it for my sheets an towels which keeps my home smelling fabulous. if you have a guest room be sure to wash the bedding with this magical stuff before your guest’s arrive, they’ll be sure to ask about the amazing smell after their first nights sleep. My favorite scents are diva and high maintenancehelpful tip: mixx half regular unscented detergent with half tyler wash.

{Home coffee table books}

one of my favorite things to have around the house and to gift to others is a good COFFEE table book. not only are they full of fabulous information or biographies but the covers are usually very pretty and make for great decoration too. linking my favs below!

 {cute coffee mug, thermos, or TUMBLER}

easy, practical, and a cute gift to be used all year around. I love shopping at ANTHROPOLOGIe, tj maxx/homegoods, target, and kate spade for cute drinkware.

{wine + Beer}

add a cute glass or beer caddy when gifting your fav wine and beer to the hostess. a bar tool set or any other drink accessories make for the perfect gift as well. i ABSOLUTELY love this MONOGRAMMED round acrylic tray and this maple wine caddy.

 {home goodies}

all things pretty for the home, any of these pieces would make for a great hostess gift! give me all the marble and gold, OBSESSED!

    Such a fab selection of gifts! I agree about spending more for candles; the scent payoff is worth it! I used to just get jar candles from Walmart, but fell in love with Diptyque. I’d never heard of the Tyler Glamorous Wash Detergent, but I’m going to try it!
