I have to start this post out by saying I’m sorry. I feel like I’ve been asked multiple times the past few weeks why I haven’t been posting as much as I had in the beginning and the best answer I can give right now is well, life. Nothing dramatic or anything like that, just some bumps in the road that have taken my attention away from blogging for a short while. I’m so happy to say I’m back and ready to invade your inbox’s 2-4 times a week again! T H A N K  Y O U to all of you for being so loyal and sticking with me during this first year of trial and error blogging! Now, on to the good stuff..

I’m so very excited to share this weeks round up of Friyay Favorites with y’all! I absolutely love the changing of seasons and spring is my #2 (Fall will always have my whole heart) for so many reasons. The fabulous fun fashion, fun cocktails by the pool, the smell of fresh cut grass, baseball, and of course the sunshine staying out until 8:00 PM which makes for plenty of time for eating chips and queso with a margarita on a patio!

First things first, HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!! I’m obsessed with margaritas and Mexican food, I could truly eat Mexican  food everyday and be perfectly fine, emphasis on TRULY! This Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita Cocktail recipe is top notch and sure to quench your thirst! I’ll be sipping on these come 5 PM!

{ favorite spring bloom }

I know what you’re thinking, I’m a fashion blogger obsessed with peonies – groundbreaking. ha! They are definitely a popular flower to be found on your favorite Instagram and Pinterest pages but it’s for so many good reasons! These flowers may be high maintenance but they can last up to TWO FULL WEEKS if you tend to them.  Changing out their water every day, re-cutting thEiR stems every other day, and my favorite little secret I do is right before going to bed I stick them into the fridge overnight to help keep them cool and this truly helps them last longer! These gorgeous blooms can cost you a pretty penny at a floral shop, I usually will preorder mine from hen house when I know I have an event coming up and Trader Joe’s always brings in a huge order each summer!

I’m obsessed with all things tassel and pom poms when it comes to accessories this season! I think I’ve literally bought 10 things in the last week  between earrings, bags, and shoes when it comes to this trend! LOVE!

{ favorite spring salad }

I’m currently loving this Watermelon Cucumber Feta Salad from Cinnamon Spice and Everything Nice. It’s so light and has SO MUCH flavor!

Loving this Spray Clay from Style Sexy Hair . It’s a texturing hairspray that adds hold and shine and allows for your waves to stay in tact and perfectly tousled all day.

{ favorite skincare product }

With the sun shinning longer and brighter each day as we head into summer it is so important to apply that SPF to your face daily! While you should always make sure your moisturizer has SPF in it I’ve also been loving this Instant Mineral SPF 45 by PTR. I throw this in my bag and if I know I’ll be going to lunch on a patio or going to be outside for along period of time I’ll apply. This is also perfect for beach vacations to throw in that beach bag and apply throughout the day.
