Eeee! I’m so very excited to be taking a trip to Breckenridge, CO with the hubs this week. I grew up going skiing with my family every spring break until around Jr. High. I haven’t been back since but they say it’s like skating, once you put the ski’s back on it all comes back to you – fingers crossed! No matter if it’s an overnight stay or a week long I always over pack – always. This time around I’m going to try my very best to only pack the essentials and the necessities. Although I’m sure I’ll be unpacking one item at time the night before and re-weighing my bag on the scale to make sure it’s under the 50 lbs. Hopefully laying out this ski trip essential list will help me with my lifelong packing problem.
{ Insulated and Moisture Wicking Outerwear }
You’ll for sure want a warm and insulated coat since you’ll be playing around in that fresh powder. You’ll also want to make sure it’s moisture wicking and use this same philosophy when it comes to ski pants too!
{ Cozy Lounge Wear }
Cozy and cute lounge wear for hanging out in the cabin between activities and at night is a must! I love this Patagonia fleece pullover, it’s not only super soft and cozy but sure to keep you warm. I love a good pair of high rise black leggings and you would be sure to catch me in them on a cozy night in.
{ Snow + Rain Boots }
Pretty self explanatory here, you can’t very well go to the snowy mountains without a snow boot and I’m loving all these options below. I wear my Hunters all the time and love them so much, I think I will get a pop color for my next pair 🙂
{ Outdoor Accessories }
Nothing like cute accessories to complete any outfit and that also goes for your ski outfit. I love these knit socks and just had to have them for the trip, so cute right? I also packed this adorable C.C. beanie and these North Face gloves.
{ Beauty Musts }
SPF is a must when doing any outdoor activity especially when you’re going to be out on the slopes all day. I’m obsessed with this Supergoop setting mist with SPF 50. It sets makeup, helps control oil and shine, and refreshes your defense against photoaging UV rays and all with the amazing and soothing scent of rosemary and mint. I also love this Rose Hydrating Face Mist, it’s perfect for travel and I especially love a little spritz right after getting off the plane. Last but certainly not least is my fav and go to self tanning mousse by St. Tropez. I swear by this stuff, I’ve not once experienced streaks and it always leaves an all over even tan. This sugar lip scrub and lip treatment with SPF 15 from Fresh are my all time favs when it comes to lip products and keeping them hydrated.
{ Swim + Sunnies }
I’m loving both of these Ray Ban sunnies which can be found here. You’ll most def want to pack a trendy swim suit for the potential hot tubing while on your ski trip, I love this black scallop one so much!
Is there something I missed that you always pack on your Ski Vaykay’s?! Sound off in the comments below on what you always pack!
always,
