Mask Monday: Caolion Pore Cleansing and Tightening Mask

Happy #maskmonday! So lately I’ve been obsessed with face mask’s and by lately I mean since last May when I turned 25. I’m very fortunate to not have any major skin issues like severe acne, uneven texture or skin tone, or major sun damage. Though I will say I’ve most definitely noticed the larger appearance of my pores in the last year. Large pores can come from genetics, oily skin, or if you don’t have oily skin larger pores can come about from oil and dirt  getting clogged in your skin causing the pores to swell and look larger than they normally would. If you follow the Elle Mae Bloom Facebook page (you totes should if you don’t) you’ll remember I posted about how excited I was that this particular brand was launching at Target very soon. Well, its hereeeee!

I picked up not one but two of the top rated  K-beauty collection pore refining mask’s, curated by one of my favorite K-beauty experts, Alicia Yoon. I was so excited to use the Pore Cleansing Blackhead Steam Pack Mask and the Pore Tightening Cooling Pack Mask to help with these unwanted large pores of mine. The Cleansing Blackhead Steam Pack is going to be your step 1. This is a purifying active-charcoal steaming mask that heats up on skin to exfoliate, hydrate, and clean impurities (blackheads and whiteheads) to leave skin brighter, smoother and moisturized. I love that the minute you put this mask on you can feel it going to work as it heats up and gets deep down into your pores to clean out all the clogged up dirt and oil.

After leaving the charcoal cleansing mask on for 20 minutes I wash it off with warm water and get ready to apply step 2 – the tightening and cooling mask. The charcoal mask has cleaned out and prepared your skin for this next step where I’m pleased to say I saw intimidate results. Just like the fist mask you can instantly feel the cooling and tightening mask going hard to work the minute you apply. I love the cool and tingly feeling of the  mask hydrating and minimizing your pores. This mask will also provide oil-control and soothe the skin. This treatment features pure Alaskan glacier water and menthol to cool, soothe, and impart moisture for a softer and smoother appearance. I have never seen such instant results with any other mask before. I have a few larger pores that really stick out to me and right after washing off this mask I could see that those pores had shrunk in size – I was honestly so shocked and EXCITED!

I plan to use these two mask together once a week for my large pores and I have a really good feeling they are going to majorly help! If you have problems with large pores I highly recommend these two products, you won’t regret it. Even better both mask are under $25.
