10 Healthy Habits to a Happy New Year

A new year is a great time to reflect on the past and set goals for the future. I’m sharing the top ten habits I’m striving to adapt to this year in hopes of reaching my goals and achieving life balance and happiness!

  1. Clean out your existing planner, I like to keep a lot of list’s so this is the perfect time to get rid of all of those or go out and buy a new planner for the year.
  2. This past weekend I took down all of our holiday decor but this coming weekend I plan to take everything { scary! } out of all of our cabinets, drawers, and closet’s and donate all the things we never use or don’t need anymore.
  3. Create and stick to a new fitness routine, I plan on working out 4-5  day’s a week and meal prep every Sunday.
  4. Go pick up a few pretty new journals { Homegoods & TJ Maxx always have the cutest! } and give bullet journaling a try. I’m a list person so I think this will work out perfectly for everything going on in my life from simple weekly to-do list, list for the blog, goals, etc.
  5. Make a list { see above } of all the different goals you want to achieve this year and make a plan with small steps for how you will get there.
  6. Refill and refresh  all of your beauty products from your skin care routine to your make up. Quality is key and make sure your morning moisturizer has SPF, always!
  7. I will be unplugging from my phone and putting it on ‘do not disturb’ mode while out on date night and with friends and family. I will strive to live in the moment and enjoy the people I’m with and the connections and memories being made right then and there.
  8. Never go to bed without an empty and clean kitchen sink.
  9. Buy a cute new water bottle like this pretty rose gold one here and strive to drink half your weight in ounces of water every day
  10. Is there a class you’ve been wanting to try out, a book you’ve been meaning to find time to read, or a new hobby you’ve been thinking about picking up? No time like the new year to finally give it a go!

    Great list! This is very motivating! I’ve been struggling getting organized and starting off fresh in the new year but it’s never too late! Maybe I’ll celebrate again at the beginning of February!
