Ahhh I could not be any more EXCITED that the twenty seventeen red carpet season is here and among us!! I live for all things pop culture and red carpet designer fashion. I love seeing all the gorgeous designer gowns and accessories strut down the red carpet on the most gorgeous and fabulous actresses and musicians in Hollywood. I love the nostalgia of knowing this tradition has taken place since the 1940’s – it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside. Let’s kick off the season with a recap of last night’s Golden Globe awards leading ladies in fashion!
{ Neutral Beaded Goddess }
Nude lined silver beaded gowns were ALL OVER the red carpet last night and I couldn’t have been more okay with this. My closet is basically all creams, tans, and whites so I loved seeing each and every dress in this category walk down the red carpet. There were SO MANY dresses to choose from this look but my absolute favorite ladies had to be Kristin Cavallari, Drew Barrymore, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Millie Bobby Brown who were all giving us life!
Kristin stuns in designer Idan Cohen, I absolutely love all the textures happening in this dress and the sheer nude lining at the bust is gorgeous. Her simple yet classic Hollywood wavy hair and statement earring complete the look perfectly.
I love the cut of this Zuhair Murad dress Tracee Ellis Ross is wearing. The dress hugs her amazing curves in all he right places and the bead work is flawless. I am so happy she pulled her hair back in his chic pony so that the dress is front and center. The bold red lip adds that final and classic Hollywood detail to the look, so pretty!
Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhuillier is e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. I LOVE this dress and want to wear it everywhere I go. I adore the nude lining and those sleeves are fabulous! Drew’s sexy tousled hair is perfection, she is truly glowing!
How adorable does Millie Bobby Brown look and can you believe she is only 12 years old?! Umm I definitely didn’t look like this at 12 and I definitely wasn’t a successful actress walking the red carpet among the greats – sigh. She’s a doll and I love all the texture her dress has as well. Te knee-length cut is appropriate and youthful while she still looks well beyond her years, stunning!
{ Bold Color Statement }
Making a statement in bold color was another trend on the red carpet tonight. It takes confidence to be so bold in color but that can’t be hard to do for these natural beauties!
Reese Witherspoon stuns in this buttery yellow staples gown. It’s been said that blondes shouldn’t wear yellow but as a blonde myself I have to 100% disagree with that. I think this color compliments not only her hair but her pretty pale skin tone too. The front side split giving us leg is fabulous.
Trace Lysette looks gorgeous in this emerald green curve hugging gown. This color is gorgeous with her long dark hair and it really makes her eye’s pop!
Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman looks radiant in this coral staples number, her shoes are definitely not my favorite but I love the effortless overall look.
{ Timeless & Classic }
Keeping their Golden Globe looks truly timeless with the classic Hollywood glamour of black dresses were these stunning ladies.
Blake Lively or Mrs. Ryan Reynolds looks absolutely gorgeous, can you believe she just had a baby!? She is a true Hollywood beauty in this black velvet and gold number.
Mandy Moore is making her red carpet come back and she couldn’t have nailed it more perfectly. This black chiffon dress by Naeem Khan is perfect for the golden globes and I just love the back cape detail, so very glam!
Kristen Bell is true Hollywood glamour in this tuxedo inspired sequin gown. Her hair and diamond accessories compliment the dress so well!
Amy Adams looks beautiful in this classic Tom Ford sequin gown. The cut at the bust adds that perfect little detail to this otherwise simple dress. I love her sleek straight hair tucked perfectly behind her ears so she can show off those gorgeous diamond earrings.
