While researching things to do in Nashville I kept coming across reviews for the charming little town of Franklin, TN. Franklin is about a 30 minute drive south of Nashville and completely worth the short trip. The characteristics of the town are so sweet and made me want to move there right away. Every house big and small had character and charm. The town square and main street area were full of adorable shops and restaurants. We spent the afternoon exploring the city market where we had the best pumpkin sugared donuts from Ellie’s Donut’s Food Truck and checking out local antique, clothing boutiques, and gift shops downtown. We had our first Tennessee meal at 55th South, where I had the most delicious chicken and waffles paired with a moscow mule. I thought my Champagne Amuse Society tank was pretty fitting to get this girls weekend started, you can find it here . I paired the tank up with this classic Copper Key chambray button down from Dillard’s, this button down is so soft and not to mention very versatile. I always travel with my Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote, the name says it all as it’s truly perfect for traveling.
Once checked into our hotel in the heart of downtown Nashville we headed out on the town for dinner and drinks at Bakersfield right off the Broadway strip. They are known for their tacos, tequila, and whiskey which did not disappoint. Their Jalapeno Margarita completely stole my heart and I didn’t think it could get any better until they brought out the fresh skillet made queso and my chicken chorizo, so good! After dinner we headed to the famous purple bar on Broadway, Tootsies, for some true Nashville nightlife. We sat on the rooftop and enjoyed live music, fantastic people watching, and of course more drinks! I found my little black off the shoulder top at Frankie & Jules a boutique in south Overland Park. Be sure to check out their shop if you’re in the area, they have the cutest stuff! You can get a very similar style here for under $22! I love this black Bay Street Kate Spade handbag for this outfit during the day, black on black is so chic. I switched over to the Kate Spade Cedar Street Cali cross body for our night out on the town.
